Stay N Play Child Care Center is pleased to participate in the State of Iowa's Voluntary Preschool Program for four-year-old children. In collaboration with the Clinton Community School District, this program provides preschool instruction for all four-year-old children so that every child enters kindergarten with the opportunity to be ready and successful!

This program is taught by a licensed early childhood teacher and fully qualified associate teacher who together provide all four-year-olds with a quality preschool environment that prepares your child for kindergarten. Through the Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program any child residing in Iowa and who is four years old by September 15th can attend preschool for 2.5 hours daily, FREE OF CHARGE.

Morning preschool hours are from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, except those days specifically noted as "No School" on the calendar each month.

The 4-year-old preschool program will follow the Clinton Community School District calendar. The NO SCHOOL days will be listed on the monthly activity calendar you will receive at the beginning of each month. If school is CANCELED for School District emergencies such as inclement weather, the preschool will be canceled. If there is a LATE START, morning preschool will be canceled. If there is EARLY OUT, there will be no change in morning preschool hours. Please watch the local TV stations, listen to the local radio stations, or check the internet for those listings. If you are unsure, please feel free to call Stay N Play. On the days that preschool is not in session, developmentally appropriate activities will be provided for the children who are in the childcare center.
